Radon in Montérégie the 2012 survey reports the health region

· 1 min· Gaz Radon

Montérégie covers Montreal’s South Shore and the Monteregian hills. Longueuil, Brossard, Boucherville, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Saint-Hyacinthe, Beloeil or Mont-Saint-Hilaire do not share the same surface geology. The shales and the intrusions of the hills can change the potential from one neighbourhood to the next. Potential is not a measurement.

South Shore condos and single-storey houses

A condo on the eighth floor does not have the same contact with the soil as a semi-detached house with a finished basement. Test the units and rooms that touch the soil, or the level where people sleep if there is no basement. The syndicate’s case is in radon in a condo.

Longueuil, Brossard, Saint-Hyacinthe, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Chambly.

The 4-day test gives a first reading. The 91-day test covers the three-month minimum Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax: shipping, return and the laboratory are included, taxes extra. The PDF report is sent within 2 business days after the laboratory receives the detector.

Above 200 Bq/m³, mitigation is confirmed with a quote. Gaz Radon is C-NRPP certified for measurement and mitigation.
