Radon fan not running the level comes back

· 1 min· Gaz Radon

A mitigation system does not store protection. It pulls while it runs. A burned-out fan, a tripped breaker, or a pipe that came apart in the attic lets soil gas back through the slab within hours. A manometer or U-tube sitting at zero, when the fan is supposed to be on, shows the failure early.

Replace the radon fan with a radon fan, not a bathroom fan. After it runs again, a test in the same room confirms the number. After mitigation. Snow on the exhaust.

The 4-day test is a first reading. The 91-day test covers the minimum of three months Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax. Shipping, the prepaid return and the lab are included. Tax is extra. The PDF report goes out within 2 business days after the lab receives the detector.

Above 200 Bq/m³, mitigation starts with a quote. Gaz Radon is C-NRPP certified for testing and for installation, and ships kits across Canada.
