Who pays in a condo the slab is often a common element

· 1 min· Gaz Radon

In a condominium, the air in the bedroom is the occupant’s. The slab, the roof and often the chases are common elements. A detector in a ground-floor or basement unit does not need a meeting. A fan, a pipe in a chase and an outlet on the roof do.

Who pays depends on the declaration: common work, a share, or the unit that has the only lived-in basement. The laboratory does not decide that. The report does say whether the room is above 200. Condo. Which floor.

The 4-day test gives a first reading. The 91-day test covers the three-month minimum Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax: shipping, return and the laboratory are included, taxes extra. The PDF report is sent within 2 business days after the laboratory receives the detector.

Above 200 Bq/m³, mitigation is confirmed with a quote. Gaz Radon is C-NRPP certified for measurement and mitigation.
