Heated floors and radon the water pipe is in the slab

· 1 min· Gaz Radon

A hot-water heated floor circulates inside the slab, the same slab radon moves under. Floor heat does not pull the gas out, and it does not dilute it in a way the measurement guide treats as meaningful. The test is done as in any other house: an occupied room, 91 days, the heating on, including this floor if it normally runs.

If a system is needed, the installer avoids the loops. Give them the tube plan before any drilling. It is not a random hole. Slab on grade. The system.

The 4-day test gives a first reading. The 91-day test covers the three-month minimum Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax: shipping, return and the laboratory are included, taxes extra. The PDF report is sent within 2 business days after the laboratory receives the detector.

Above 200 Bq/m³, mitigation is confirmed with a quote. Gaz Radon is C-NRPP certified for measurement and mitigation.
