Older homes and radon age does not predict the number
A 1920 house with a dirt floor or a rubble wall has wide paths to the soil. A 2020 house has fewer leaks: the little radon that enters stays inside. Neither age is an exemption. The Health Canada survey mixes buildings of every era in the same health region.
Test the lowest lived-in room, in winter. New homes. The first winter.
The 4-day test gives a first reading. The 91-day test covers the three-month minimum Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax: shipping, return and the laboratory are included, taxes extra. The PDF report is sent within 2 business days after the laboratory receives the detector.
