Radon and resale value a system with a report is a fact you can show

· 1 min· Gaz Radon

Radon does not condemn a house. It is measured and, above 200 Bq/m³, it is reduced with a permanent system. What complicates a sale is having no number at the moment the buyer asks.

Before you list

A 91-day test takes three months. Starting it before the listing leaves time to correct a high report. A 4-day test can help a tight schedule. Present it as what it is. Options during an offer are in the purchase.

A house that already has a system

A running system is a correction, not a stain. The buyer still has reason to repeat a long measurement after moving in, to confirm that the fan is doing its job in the way they live. Retest.

The 4-day test gives a first reading. The 91-day test covers the three-month minimum Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax: shipping, return and the laboratory are included, taxes extra. The PDF report is sent within 2 business days after the laboratory receives the detector.

Above 200 Bq/m³, mitigation is confirmed with a quote. Gaz Radon is C-NRPP certified for measurement and mitigation.
