Slab on grade and radon there is no basement, there is still soil

· 1 min· Gaz Radon

Having no basement does not take the house out of the Health Canada guide. Radon enters through the slab poured on the soil. The room to test is the main-floor room where someone stays more than four hours a day: a bedroom, living room or family room.

A closed crawl space under part of the house is another path. Do not put the detector in the crawl space or in the garage. Crawl space. Where not to place it.

If a system is needed, it pulls under that slab. A heated floor in the concrete changes how the slab is drilled: heated floors.

The 4-day test gives a first reading. The 91-day test covers the three-month minimum Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax: shipping, return and the laboratory are included, taxes extra. The PDF report is sent within 2 business days after the laboratory receives the detector.

Above 200 Bq/m³, mitigation is confirmed with a quote. Gaz Radon is C-NRPP certified for measurement and mitigation.
