A radon test before you sign the offer window is not 91 days

· 1 min· Gaz Radon

An offer often leaves a few days, not three months. A 4-day test gives an order of magnitude if the house stays closed. Health Canada compares 200 Bq/m³ with a measurement of at least three months, ideally in the heating season. The two numbers do not contradict each other: they answer different questions.

After the purchase, the 91-day test in the bedroom decides the work. Two results. The purchase.

The 4-day test gives a first reading. The 91-day test covers the three-month minimum Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax: shipping, return and the laboratory are included, taxes extra. The PDF report is sent within 2 business days after the laboratory receives the detector.

Above 200 Bq/m³, mitigation is confirmed with a quote. Gaz Radon is C-NRPP certified for measurement and mitigation.
