Radon in Mauricie the 2012 survey, not one town

· 1 min· Gaz Radon

Mauricie and neighbouring Centre-du-Québec — Trois-Rivières, Shawinigan, Drummondville, Victoriaville — do not have one type of house. Bungalows with basements, duplexes and more recent buildings sit side by side. Radon follows the foundation and the soil under that foundation.

Same street, two levels

A renovation that makes the house tighter can change the level from one year to the next. That is why an old result, or the neighbour’s, is not reused. When to test again.

Trois-Rivières, Shawinigan, Drummondville, Victoriaville.

The 4-day test gives a first reading. The 91-day test covers the three-month minimum Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax: shipping, return and the laboratory are included, taxes extra. The PDF report is sent within 2 business days after the laboratory receives the detector.

Above 200 Bq/m³, mitigation is confirmed with a quote. Gaz Radon is C-NRPP certified for measurement and mitigation.
