Radon in a basement bedroom that room comes first

· 1 min· Gaz Radon

People sleep there seven or eight hours. That is past Health Canada’s four-hour line, and it is the lowest level. Put the detector in that bedroom, 0.8 to 2 m off the floor, not in the closet and not on the window ledge.

The main-floor living room can sit under 200 while the basement bedroom does not. Do not clear the house with the living room. Basement apartment. Where to place it.

The 4-day test is a first reading. The 91-day test covers the three-month minimum Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax. Shipping, the return and the lab are included. Tax is extra. The PDF report goes out within 2 business days after the lab receives the detector.

Above 200 Bq/m³, mitigation starts with a quote. Gaz Radon is C-NRPP certified and ships kits across Canada. See the Canada test page.
