Radon in a basement apartment the bedroom closest to the soil
A basement apartment is used more than four hours a day, on the lowest level, often on the slab. That is the priority case in Health Canada’s guide. The detector goes in that unit’s bedroom or living room, not in the furnace room and not in the owner’s place upstairs.
The tenant can ask for a test in writing. The owner controls the work if the result is over 200. Two units in one house can differ: one of them has the sump. Renters. Sump.

The 4-day test is a first reading. The 91-day test covers the minimum of three months Health Canada asks for. Both are $59 before tax. Shipping, the prepaid return and the lab are included. Tax is extra. The PDF report goes out within 2 business days after the lab receives the detector.
Above 200 Bq/m³, mitigation starts with a quote. Gaz Radon is C-NRPP certified for testing and for installation, and ships kits across Canada.
